Terms of Service
Last updated 14 October 2026
These terms govern access to the DouxProcess website and the DouxProcess service, including demos. Customers are separately bound by a signed customer agreement, which takes precedence over these terms wherever they differ.
1. What DouxProcess is
DouxProcess is software that performs work inside systems a licensed insurance agency already operates. DouxProcess is not an insurance company, agency, broker or producer. It does not solicit, negotiate or sell insurance, it does not bind coverage on its own authority, and it does not provide insurance, legal, tax or financial advice. Every insurance transaction remains the act and the responsibility of the licensed agency and its licensed personnel.
2. Your responsibilities
You hold the licenses and carrier appointments required for the business you transact. You are responsible for every action you approve and for the procedures you configure. You will not use the service unlawfully, or to reach systems you are not authorized to reach.
3. Human oversight
The service is a tool used under your supervision. You are responsible for reviewing its output before relying on it.
4. Your data
You keep ownership of your data. Our handling of it is described in the Privacy Policy.
5. Availability and change
The service may change, and access may be interrupted or withdrawn. Demo access is provided as is, with no commitment to availability.
6. Intellectual property
We keep all rights in the software and the site. Kits published on this site are free to use under the DouxProcess kit license.
7. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent the law allows, the service is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, or for lost profits or lost data.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California.
10. Changes
If these terms change, we will update the date at the top of this page.
11. The DouxProcess agency network
For people looking for insurance. DouxProcess, on douxprocess.com or inside an AI assistant, shows licensed insurance agencies that say they write a line of insurance in your state, and sends your request to the one agency you choose, with your agreement. DouxProcess is not an insurance company, agency or producer. It does not sell, quote, price, recommend or bind insurance and does not give insurance advice. Each agency is independent and is solely responsible for its license, its advice, any quote and any policy. Nothing is bound and no price is promised through DouxProcess. The service is free to you.
For agencies. Joining and receiving requests is free. You confirm that you hold the license you entered, that the lines, states and details you give are accurate, and that you will reply to requests in line with the law and the person’s consent. You also confirm the network standard, and must keep meeting it: a license active in every state you list, with lines of authority for every line you list; errors and omissions insurance in force; and no regulatory action against the agency or its principals in the last 5 years. A person checks your license before you are listed. A person’s consent covers contact about their request only; it is not consent to automated or prerecorded marketing calls or texts. A complaint from a person whose reference number and contact match a request sent to you takes you off the network at once while we review it. We may review, pause or remove a listing at any time, and you may leave at any time by emailing us from your quote inbox.
Reporting an agency. If you sent a request through DouxProcess and something went wrong, use “Report a problem” on that agency’s page with your reference number, or email admin@getdoux.com.
