What is an insurance MCP server?
An MCP server is an address an AI assistant can call to do something, not just read about it. MCP, the Model Context Protocol, is the open standard Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini and Grok use to connect to outside tools. An insurance MCP server lets the assistant check whether an agency writes a line in a state, start a quote, or send a quote request to a licensed agency, with the client's OK.
Where to find them.
The DouxProcess insurance MCP directory lists insurance servers and checks every one every 30 minutes: it connects, then lists the server's tools. The same list is published in machine-readable form and in the official MCP Registry's format, and DouxProcess's own servers are in the official MCP Registry.
How to add one to your assistant.
Claude: Settings, Connectors, Add custom connector, then paste the address. ChatGPT: turn on Developer mode, then Create in Apps and Connectors (paid plans). Gemini: Settings, Connected Apps, Add a custom app. Grok: grok.com/connectors, New Connector, Custom.
Straight answers.
Does an MCP server need a login?
Not the ones in the directory marked no authentication. You paste the address and ask.
Can an agency have one?
Yes. DouxProcess builds one free for licensed agencies.
